Description

An excellent cabinet size specimen of uranophane from Grants, New Mexico.   This specimen features electric yellow needles of uranophane, rich in a calcite matrix.   I made a trip out to this district about eight years ago to find that the diggings in the region had been freshly covered over.   I consider these specimens among the more iconic American uranium minerals.
