Description

A rare specimen of braggite with cooperite from the Bushveld Complex.   This specimen features minute metallic grains in matrix.   This specimen is from the Ralph Merrill collection.   Ralph acquired it from the Cureton Mineral Company in 1983.   His blue collection card notes that the specimen was determined by microprobe.    Braggite and Cooperite are dimorphs, both rare sulfides of platinum.
