Description

This is a piece of crystalline aluminum with a few corundum crystals. The piece was found on a mining dump in mansfeld. The aluminium was produced syntheticly. It was an attempt to produce aluminum experienced in the enamel. The raw material was clay. This experiment produced aluminium and corundum. The experiment was carried out between 1835 and 1860. The piece is an extremely rare artifact of industrial history.
