Description

Very interesting specimen of blue benitoite crystal on crossite matrix. All these pieces have been treated with hydrochloric acid to extract the crystals from the natrolite layer. Benitoite is fluorescent in blue under the short wave ultraviolet light.

Note: The benitoite crystal is perfect and gem quality but the crystal size is only two millimeters, the piece is wonderful for micromounters, but I want the bidders to be aware of the size to avoid possible misunderstandings.
