Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Erupción Mine, Los Lamentos Mountains, Ahumada Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3 × 2.7 × 1.4 cm
Largest Crystal:
1.90cm
Description

An excellent wulfenite miniature mounted on an acrylic base. Despite the many available blocky butterscotch colored wulfenites for which this mining region became famous, this specific windowpane morphology is very rare. The quality of this crystal is very good: there is simply no damage and one can beautifully see the crystal growth-striations on the side of the crystal. The surface texture of the side of the crystal is a bit softer than the shiny edges.
