A pure crystal cleavages of hornblende, probably ferro-hornblende.

The specimen was found during the third german antarctica expedition GANOVEX III 1982/83

Hornblende from this locality is probably lacking in all collections.

Ex collection Dipl.Min. Ulrich Vetter, Hannover - mineralogist of this expedition.
