Description

Very rich coverage of bright yellow meta-autunite crystals on quartz/ limonite matrix.

Specimen from the historic collection of the mining director Ernst Julius Fröbe ( 1851 - 1921) from Schwarzenberg, Saxony.

The material was collected by E. Fröbe and K. Schiffner 1905 - 1910 .

The Rockelmann quarry was defunct in1930.

Karl Schiffner published this finds in 1911 and they were stored in the collection of  E. Fröbe.

This part of the collection was discoverd in 2014 and the whole material was newly investigated and analyzed.

Comes with a copy of the original Fröbe label.
