Description

Sharp lustrous black babingtonite crystals up to 3 mm on light green prehnite and quartz. The specimen was found during the first German Antarctica Expedition GANOVEX I 1979/80. Comes with the original handwritten - PRIVATE COLLECTION - label of the mineralogist from this expedition. Babingtonite from this location is probably lacking in most collections.
