Description

Clear quartz crystals to 2.5 cm on light green prehnite .
Also some tiny babingtonite crystals are present.
The specimen was found during the first german Antarctica expedition GANOVEX I 1979/80 . Comes with the original handwritten label of the mineralogist
from this expedition. Quartz crystals from this locality probably lacking in most collections.
Although there are some imperfections,due to contact points created by opposite grown crystals in the cavity,this is a very nice and harmonic specimen.
