A crystal cleavage of black-green magnesio-hastingsite.

Recent analyses (by Joy Desor) confirmed this old material as magnesio-hastingsite.

The specimen was found during the third German Antarctica expedition GANOVEX III 1982/83

Magnesio-hastingsite from this locality is seldom available.

 

Ex collection Dipl.Min. Ulrich Vetter, Hannover - mineralogist of

this expedition. Comes with a - copy - of his old original handwritten
