Description

This is a single, large crystal from the Ouray Fault, known for some of the world's best milkies. The Cliffhanger Pocket "find" was featiured in the Sep/Oct 2006 issue of Rocks & Minerals. These pieces were collected while hanging from a rope on the face of a limestone cliff in the San Juan Mountains. Virtually all of the crystals collected from here have at least slight chipping because of the freeze/thaw cycle and tectonics that broke crystals from the original matrix and this one is no exception. The chipping is slight and not too distracting.
