Arrastra Basin, Silverton, San Juan County, Colorado, United States of America

Small cabinet (7-10 cm)

Description

This is a "crazy" quartz crystal from an area that occasionally produces such pieces. It is a deeply skeletal sceptre. Collected from a near surface pocket at high elevation near Silverton, Colorado, there is some slight chipping due to the freeze/thaw cycle there. Collectors of unusual quartz will find this one particularly interesting.
