Description

Lustrous, elegant milky quartz crystals from the Buttercup Pocket, a sub pocket of the KD Pocket. The Buttercup Pocket was discovered and collected about 10 years ago.

The Ouray Fault has produced some of the best milky quartz groups ever. Slight chipping is possible due to the freeze/thaw cycle at this high mountain locality. There are a couple of broken crystals at the edge at the back. They don't detract from the outstanding aesthetics.
