Description

A doubly terminated crystal of smoky quartz to 4.3cm. The colour in the crystal is almost clear in the middle zone to impenetrable black in the opposite termination. The crystal has some attached metalliferous ghosts of crystals that appear to have undergone an alteration process. The crystal itself has numerous needles of epididymite.
