Description

The nice group of milky-white crystals with pearly luster, on a quartz matrix with mica background, in the photo, does not stand out due to the absence of chromatic contrast with the background but under the microscope its typical elongated and tabular shape is appreciable. Excellent specimen!

The ichnusaite and the nuragheite are two extremely rare thorium and molybdenum minerals, the only ones known of this two elements together, they are closely related to each other, their structure differs only for two water molecule, which is why they can not be distinguished from each other except with a destructive test.
