Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Weißer Hirsch Mine, Neustädtel, Schneeberg, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6 × 3 × 3 cm
Description

Magnificent specimen of walpurgite from its type locality, showing innumerable groups of intense honey yellow "gem" quality crystals, scattered on the matrix. The samples of the type locality are not very widespread but with this quality, they are absolutely very rare and very difficult to find on the market. Some years ago I received this sample from E. Asselborn, a well known French collector but his label has been lost. Exceptional specimen!
