Description
Locality:
Kerségalec, Morbihan, Brittany, France
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
4 × 4 × 2 cm
Description

A dense carpet of bright yellow crystals of this beautiful and rare uranium mineral of the "Phosphuranylite Group", totally hides the previous torbernite crystals that covered the larger face of the sample. A beautiful sample, typical of the old French location from which this type of samples came. The back of the sample shows the cavities left by the terminations of quartz crystals which are also coated with dewindtite crystals as can be seen in the last photos. I received this excellent specimen from the well known French collector E.Asselborn (asselbornite) and it will come with his label. Beautiful and intriguing!
