Description

An "old time" small-cabinet full of nice blue sharp crystals of chalcomenite from Baccu Locci, a classic locality for rare, selenium minerals. The prismatic, blue, sharp crystals are spread on many areas of the sample in more groups. There is a very small, faintly-yellow/green point of sarrabusite, an extremely rare species even here in its type-locality, it takes its name from the geographic-mining area (Sarrabus) which is also the only one in which it was found. Samples of this size and rich were found only in the mid-nineties, before the rich layer of seleniferous species was totally removed.  Rare and excellent specimen.
