Description

In this sample you can find the scordariite as groups of shiny crystals with tabular shape and brown color and as thick groups of many saffron-yellow crystals with a zoned color appearance. (photo 2, 4, 5, 8 )  Giacovazzoite here is as groups of shiny crystals with its classic prismatic shape and its warm orange color. ( photo1, 3, 6, 7, 9)

Author's material. Analyzed. 

Scordariite, IMA 2019-010. Structurally related to metavoltine and carlsonite. It is a new oxysulfate, the second currently known K-Fe oxysulfate, the other is another new species found together, giacovazzoite, with which it is chemically related. This new species has been found in Monte Arsiccio mine, world famous, for the magnificent and rare species that have been found here in recent decades.
