Description

Outstanding sample, of the extremly rare mineral chovanite, analysed from the University of Pisa, containing, robinsonite and minor rouxelite. The sample coming from a 2015 finding which provided the best samples known for the three species, this is the first time that are found samples of such high level and that is one of the best of. Chovanite is a rare mineral named after Prof. Martin Chovan (b.1946) Slovak mineralogist, of the Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia. Out of curiosity: on Mindat on the page of the chovanite, there is no photo yet.
