Description

Shiny grey metallic crystals of moëloite flattened on the white marble matrix.

Very good rich specimen of this rare sulfosalt typical of a handful of Carrara marble quarries in Tuscany and a unique location in Switzerland. This sample belonged to the old "Monti" collection and labeled as "plumosite" was later analyzed with XRD and found to be a rare moëloite sample.
