Description

Grey inclusions of the very rare Mg silicate mineral ringwoodite from the Taiban meteorite, in a polished section that was probably used for analysis by the former owner of the specimen (the Vandenbroucke Museum), but the analysis is no longer available.

Matrix is maskelnyite, a type of naturally occurring glass having the composition of a plagioclase series feldspar, created by the vitrification of plagioclase by shock melting in meteorites and meteorite impacts.
