Metallic inclusions of the extremely rare rhodium mineral cherepanovite (RhAs) associated to ferronickelplatinum in a matrix specimen from Koriak-Kamchatka in Russia.

Two very rare minerals in a single specimen !. Cherepanovite in specimens different from polished sections, like this one, are very rarely seen in the mineral market.

Rhodium minerals are extremely rare in Nature, since only 22 from a total of 5690 minerals species known are Rhodium minerals ! (source Mindat)

Ex Vandenbroucke Museum collection from Waregem, Belgium.

Specimen analyzed by SEM/EDS by the former owner of the specimen (the Vandenbroucke Museum) but the analysis is no longer available.
