Description

Outstanding small specimen of minrecordite, in a fairly well formed white crystals, associated to dioptase, from the type locality in Tsumeb.

Found in the 32th level of the mine.

Minrecordite, is a very rare calcium zinc carbonate named after the famous magazine The Mineralogical Record. Labeled as RR in Gebhard Tsumeb II book (very rare: single occurrence with more than 10 specimens).

Ex Vandenbroucke Museum collection specimen, from Waregem, Belgium.
