Description

Polished section consisting of pink crystal aggregates of the extremely rare rubidium mineral rubicline associated to white pollucite, another rare mineral , in this case a cesium mineral.

Rubidium minerals are extremely rare in Nature since only 5 mineral species (aleutite, ramanite-(Rb), voloshinite, londonite and rubicline ) from more than 5500 known mineral species are rubidium minerals (source Mindat), so it is a real rarity, almost never seen on the mineral market.

Cesium minerals (for the matrix of pollucite) are also very rare in Nature since only 28 cesium mineral species are known !

Completely analyzed specimen by SEM/EDS, see copy enclosed.
