Outstanding acicular yellow crystals of the new and extremely rare mineral magnanelliite (IMA 2019-006) associated to orange brown giacovazzoite (IMA 2018-165)(photos 1 and 3) from the type and only known locality worldwide for both minerals.

Magnanelliite has been named after the well known mineral collector and mineralogist Dr.Stefano Magnanelli, protagonist of exceptional finds in Monte Arsiccio mine and other parts of Tuscany. According to him, the find was strictly limited to a very small area of about 0,5 m long inside the Arsiccio mine. Authours material. Very limited find !.

Magnanelliite is a Fe-K sulphate and it is the Fe+analogue of alcaparrosaite.

Two extreme rarities in a single specimen !.
