Description

White crystal aggregates of the rare mineral alamosite.

As a curiosity, alamosite was discovered during a photographic session in the W.R. Kahn collection when a piece of aragonite was to be featured (8 cm), but the specimen was too heavy for aragonite. Further examination revealed that this purported aragonite was in fact the world's best alamosite!
