Description

Orange-brown crystals of the extremely rare new mineral wilhelmgumbelite (IMA 2015-072 and published in 2017), from the type and only known locality worldwide in Hagendorf mine, in a small matrix of mitridatite.

Willhelmgumbelite is a Zn-Fe phosphate.

Specimen analyzed by SEM/REM (see copy enclosed). The analysis shows it is a Mn-rich wilhelmgumbelite.
