Description

Superb dark green sharp gemmy crystals of the extremely rare mineral lammerite from Tsumeb, associated to white leightonite, colorless anhydrite and blue chalcantite. This piece was collected in 1980 at 35th level of the mine by John Innes, as stated in the label of Cathcart. See Tsumeb II Gebhard 1999 book for a detailed description of this find (p.259)

Lammerite was labeled as RRR in the Tsumeb II Gebhard book (extremely rare, single occurrence with less than ten specimens known). Leightonite, anhydrite and chalcantite are also very rare at Tsumeb, since they were labeled as R in the same book (several occurrences with a few specimens known).

Ex. William Pinch , Ex, John Innes, Ex.Kim Cathcart collections, with labels of Pinch and Cathcart included, that will be sent to the buyer. See copies attached in "Item description" and also in "Labels".

Very sought after mineral for the Tsumeb specialist, that it also includes an original label from the famous W. Pinch collection (!!).

Don't miss the opportunity to get this extreme rarity specimen from Tsumeb.
