Description

Francisite is an extremely rare selenium mineral known from only two localities worldwide. It is a Cu-Bi selenite that occurs in this specimen as green crystal aggregates of curious shapes on grey matrix. The specimen is especially rich in the mineral.

The locality is Baccu Locci, famous for its paragenesis of selenium minerals: francisite and sarrabusite are the two rarest selenium species from this locality.
