Description

Very small but sharp black crystals of the extremely rare mineral iltisite grown on orange acicular perroudite crystals in an outstanding specimen for the species. Very sought after mineral in this quality and rarely seen on the mineral market.  Iltisite has only been found in 3 localities worldwide. Very nice under the microscope !

Iltisite is a Bromine (Br) mineral. Only 17 of 5000 minerals known are bromine mineral so it is a real chemical rarity.
