Edenharterite is one of the rarest species from Lengenbach, since up to 2008 only 106 samples had been found in the quarry (data from book "Faszination Lengenbach, 2008", p.188); after 2008 a only a few more specimes have been found, so it is an extreme rarity from Lengenbach. It occurs in this specimen as complex black crystals with a diagnostic rapsberry-red streak color (photos 1-4). In addition to edenharterite, there are in the sample at least one sharp shiny crystal of hatchite-wallisite series (photos 5 and 6). Find of 19-5-1985.

Edenharterite was discovered as a new species, together with still rarer stalderite and erniggliite, in the famous boulder which fell to the bottom of the quarry in 1985 that incentivated further research of the deposit.
