Description

Fahleite (a Zn-Ca-Fe arsenate) is an extremely rare Tsumeb mineral only known from this locality worldwide, which is of course the type locality.

A sample of this material has been analyzed by SEM/EDS and XRD (by Excalibur Mineral Corporation), as it can be seen in the attached photo (SEM/EDS). The XRD was via film and it is in the arxive of the Geological Survey of Canada (#X-77877).

The species was labeled as RRR! in Gebhard Tsumeb II book (single specimen !).
