Description

Extremely rare new mineral approved in 2012 (IMA 2011-106) that occurs in this sample as perfect violet crystals . The mineral is Sr-Ca-Cr sulphate-carbonate. Only two localities worldwide are known where this mineral occurs !. Associated mineral is millerite.

Putnisite crystals of this quality are very rarely seen in the mineral market.
