Whitish platy and radial crystals of the extremely rare new mineral castellaroite (IMA 2015-071) known only from two localities worldwide, this one being from the type locality.. Castellaroite (a manganese arsenate mineral) is a secondary mineral that crystallized from As- and Mn-rich fluids, which circulated through a system of fractures during the final tectonico-metamorphic stage of the deposit.
