Description

Sharp colorless trigonal crystals of the extremely rare new mineral chubarovite (IMA 2014-018) associated to white acicular fluoborite, both in a dark constrasting matrix. Chubarovite has only been found in this volcano worldwide, where it is an extremely rare mineral.

Chemically it is a K-Zn borate-chloride.
