Description

Francisite is an extremely rare selenium mineral known from only two localities worldwide. It is a Cu-Bi selenite that occurs in this specimen as green crystal aggregates of curious shapes on grey matrix. The locality is Baccu Locci, famous for its paragenesis of selenium minerals: francisite and sarrabusite are the two rarest selenium species from this locality.
