Description

Tangdanite is a very rare new mineral (IMA 2011-096) known from only four localities worldwide. It occurs in this specimen as abundant bluish green radial crystals and has the formula Ca2Cu9(AsO4)4(SO4)0.5(OH)9 · 9H2O. It was previously named fuxiaotuite, but was later renamed tangdanite, after the type locality.
