Bronze colored druses of microcrystals of the extremely rare thallium mineral imhofite (Tl5.8As15.4S26)(photos 1 and 6) associated to a well formed smithite crystal (4th photo), two unknown sulphosalts and realgar. The number of confirmed imhofite specimens until 2002 was only 120, and later grew to only 172 ! (from the book Faszination Lengenbach, 2008, p.188). Type locality and only two localities known worldwide. Imhofite is one of the rarest and most sought after thallium minerals from Lengenbach, in part due to its name related to the family Imhof, very famous in the whole Binntal. Don't miss the opportunity to get such interesting mineral from this classic locality.
