Description

Outstanding combination of two rare and interesting minerals from this famous deposit: rathite and hutchinsonite. Rathite occurs as sharp black metallic crystals (photos 1, 2, 4, 5) associated to deep red well formed hutchinsonite crystals (photo 1, 2). Abundant associated red mineral is realgar.
Rathite is a extremely rare thallium mineral from Lengenbach, the type and most important locality for the mineral and is one of the most sought after rarities from Lengenbach.. Only three localities known worldwide. Very nice under the microsocope !
