Description

The sample was originally labeled as Squawcreekite & Maxwellite, but Squawcreekite was originally approved as a new mineral by IMA in 1991, but discredited in 2003 by the IMA as a tin rich tripuhyite.
Maxwellite occurs in this sample as perfect red crystals (first photo) while tripuhyite is more orange (second and third photos). Associated mineral is hematites in a perfect and nice crystal (fourth and fifth photos). Very nice under the microscope!.
