Description

Lasalite (a Na Mg vanadium oxide) is a relatively new mineral (IMA 2007-005) found only in 3 very close localities in Utah. The colorful orange crystals in this sample are associated to also very rare whitish-yellowish dickthomsennite crystals (a Mg vanadium oxide also only known from 3 close localities in Utah). Specimen from the collection of Renato and Adriana Pagano with label included. Very nice under the microscope!
