Description

In the middle of the main picture we can see an extremely rare quadratite crystal covered by greenockite (both cadmium minerals) and above this we see a well formed metallic jordanite crystal.
Quadratite is one the rarest minerals from Lengenbach and the second picture shows a well formed octogonal crystal of this rare mineral, rimmed also by greenockite. Type and only locality known worldwide.
The number of confirmed quadratite specimens is only 204 !! (Faszination Lengenbach book, 2008, p.188). In addition, greenockite is also extremely rare in Lengenbach since only 32 catalogued specimens exist (also Faszination Lengenbach book, p.188). Find 08/1995.
