Description

This is a phantastic hand-sized display specimen showing different specialities from Schretzmair/Büschhof quarry. Sphalerites up to 5 mm completely covered by steacked, epitaxial grown Chalcopyrite crystals or by a second generation of Sphalerite which are also completely covered by a thin layer of Chalcopyrite and minor Calcite crystals. Some colorful iridescent Pyrites are also present.

Büschhof quarry is an interesting locality. Cu-, Fe-, Pb- and Zn-minerals are present inside a fossil devonian stromatopore reef.
