Description

An exquisite specimen from a recent find; A massive piece of dark-reddish Cuprite featuring cavities with a wide variety of rare minerals. The big attraction of this specimen is the acicular electric bright blue needles of Buttgenbachite accompanied with some whitish blue dots of a copper silicate (probably Chrysocolla). In between these silicates you can find some crystals of greyish black Paramelaconite crystals. There is also a rich cavity with Brochantite or Malachite present on this specimen together with some specs of Gerhardtite/Rouaite. This is part of a new find that was made in early 2018. It is unclear if the specimens are actually from the Likasi Mine or from the Tenke area.
