Vanadinite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
ACF Mine, Mibladen, Midelt Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.8 × 5.7 × 5.1 cm
Description

Highly unusual prismatic vanadinite crystals richly covering a matrix of barite and goethite. The habit is quite rare for Mibladen vanadinite and the crystals show a heavy striation and there-toned coloration, a orange termination, hot red body and a brown stripe.

There a few vanadinite examples of classic hexagonal habit scattered through the specimen.

Very clean of damage, this is a very nice eye-catcher display one!
