Description

Galena specimens from Neudorf are nearly impossible to find for sale. The mines that produced them closed in the very early 1900's, but most of the specimens came out in the 1800's. In addition to being from a classic German locale, these specimens are highly sought after for their crystal habits. This specimen features a 1.5 cm long galena crystal that contrasts very well against the white quartz and brown to cream colored siderite. Although there is a small fracture going through one side of the galena crystal, due to the extreme rarity of these specimens this is still going to be a major addition to any collection.   As a bonus, several super bright micro galenas to just a couple of mm are set at one side. This is probably from either the Meiseberg or Pfaffenberg Mine, but I can't say for sure which.
