Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
La Purísima Mine, Taxco de Alarcón, Guerrero, Mexico
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.2 × 6 × 4 cm
Description

An extremely hard to get stibnite specimen. Only a handful of stibnite specimens came from this locality during a short time at the end of 1980's and was featured in The Mineralogical Record.

This specimen was in the author's collection and it is a quite nice specimen.

Steel grey stibnite crystals forming rosettes are sprinkled over a matrix of whitish calcite rhombs and barite blades.

In quite good condition, there are some damaged groups but most are complete, being th largest crystal 4mm.

Very interesting!
