Description

Group of fluorite crystals from this classic French mine. Excellent size, sharp, showing the cube forms with polysinthetic growths on faces. Crystals show an intense amber colour in the core with a geometric zoning on the edges with a lilac hue when the light passes through the specimen. The front side is in great shape, small  in the back side it is contacted where it was removed from the pocket wall. Tiny small chipping is present, without affecting this fine quality.
Very interesting green hue in one part of the sample probably due to the presence of a "colour point", generated by a Frenkel defect. This effect is very rare in Valzergues fluorite and highly appreciated for fluorite mineral collectors.
