Description

This specimen is showing sharp, acicular to prismatic crystals of amarantite in sprays on 5-6 mm. In some vugs aerial crystals of this rare species. Intense orange-red color, transparence. Mixed in (close-up photo) are small tufts or ball-shaped clusters of microcrystalline hohmannite (metahohmannite). Accompanied by aubertite, kornelite, eriochalcite, chalcanthite, copiapite and picromerite, I am told. Excellent specimen.
